Change is Coming!

Change, by definition is to make the form, nature, content, future course etc. of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone. Pretty boring stuff if you ask me. What is change on a personal level though? At the root of it, I believe, change is moving your course of action to see what the end result can be. Sure it is so easy to set on the sidelines wondering what might be or what could have been but where is the fun in that. I have never found it!

It all starts with change. And let me be one hundred percent clear, change is rarely easy. Take the way you eat for example, should be simple to change right? I think I speak for everyone when I say that is a resounding NO! No change is easy, big or small. It takes work, it takes time, and most of all it takes effort. Do not mistake wanting a change as declaring the way things are, is not good enough. That is not the case, change just means you see a different way and that you want to explore that path as well.

For my wife and I big changes are coming! Changes we have been looking forward to and game-planning for, for a long time. We are excited, scared, nervous, but most of all we are ready. Neither of us have the delusion that our coming change is going to be all unicorns and rainbows. We totally understand there will be bumps in our road, and honestly we would expect nothing less. We have been together for 17 years and married for 16 of those. I could not even begin to start counting the changes that we have experienced in that time. Some worked out, some did not but we kept chugging along as we like to say. The one thing that never changed was our determination to make everyday an adventure and our drive to keep finding new ways to better our current situation.

So in the coming months, we will be making some announcements, and slowly letting people in on our upcoming change! This will be our biggest redirection yet but we are so excited for the adventure that will follow.

Since we entered the wedding industry around seven years ago, we have constantly been trying to find ways to improve our company, our brand, and our skills. Someone asked me recently if I felt like we still had room for improvement, and I literally laughed out loud. My friend must have thought I had gone mad by the way he looked at me. The only thing I could think to say to him was, Pretty sure the day there is no more room for improvement is the day I am no longer on this Earth. We strive everyday to improve our skills as videographers, DJs, and Photographers. We are better than we used to be but no where near where we want to be.

That being said, this next change, is just another way for us to improve our skill-sets, grow our brand, and ultimately broaden our reach! In closing I would say to friends, family, and clients. Do NOT be scared of change! Let me repeat that, DO NOT BE SCARED OF CHANGE! Some of the greatest moments of my life have happened because I stepped away from my current path and took a stroll down through the unknown, or wondered away from the expectations. I am so thankful that I did, and I am even more thankful that I have the opportunity to do it again.

Talk to you guys soon, and stay tuned in the coming months, as Sara and I announce some big changes coming for our company and for us personally!

We are NOT bound to our path, We can step freely to the right when our current path leans to the left.
